White Pond Farm is a family-owned farm growing fruit, vegetables and livestock since 1978, located an hour west of Boston, MA. With the purchase of the farm came a large, rambling raspberry patch Andrew and Mary Mintz quickly turned into a U-Pick operation. Soon the farm came to raise chickens, goats, ducks and more! The farm uses organic, sustainable, farming methods and adds natural manure and fish/seaweed fertilizer to enrich the soil. Their goal: to produce high quality, tasty fruits, and vegetables without the use of chemical fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides or fungicides.

Our goal: create a visual design language - greasing the wheel with a rich history of a family farm - producing something both current and capable of weathering well over time. Solution: a hand and machine-made design system.

Inspired by the feeling of taking your first bite into a delicious meal, already planning your second bite, or the satisfying feeling of opening your favorite snack and sharing amongst friends - the visual language is appetizing as the products are delectable.

With a series of successful farming seasons under their belt, White Pond Farm craved a new visual identity and design system to implement across their products. We used the farmland, food grown there and the farmer's story to guide us.
