As part of their Centennial Celebration, the New York Public Library set out to change the common perception that the library is just a pile of books. The library is a vast archive of both old things and new. Text on paper, audio files, artifacts, and ephemera from the past decades as well as a speedy internet connection all live within the library's doors. To express this, we created an advertising campaign and interactive game to engage audiences old and new to come to explore the library and "Find the Future” within. We spent days peeling through the NYPL archive in search of found objects to make custom typography for the campaign.

This project was made with COLLINS.

The typography we created from found objects was used on pole banners, phone kiosks, and other ad spaces. "Find the Future" became a key part of the NYPL Centennial Celebration. This project was completed with Collins.
